and sources behind it.

Music and visual identity

Music, supplied album titles, original covers, logo and lyric excerpts come from the SoleyHayti collection supplied by the site owner. Spotify release titles, track links and official cover artwork were checked against the public artist and release pages on October 16, 2026. The collection is a snapshot, not a guarantee of future platform availability.

An original visual world

The coastal collage was generated specifically for Soleil Haiti using ChatGPT image generation. It is an illustration, not a photograph of a verified location or an album cover. Existing album art and the original SoleyHayti logo were not redesigned. Typography uses the open-source Outfit family; third-party licence notices are included in the download package.

Stories and translations

The ten journal guides were written for this site with AI assistance. Factual context is linked to sources where used. Creative interpretations, the artist’s supplied account and possible future collaborations are identified as such. The three original cultural stories and eight lyric excerpts retain their supplied translations. Kiswahili and newly written language material should receive native-speaker review before being treated as definitive.

Research and inspiration

The music-first discovery, release pages and deeper reading approach was informed by the public sites of Real World Records and Smithsonian Folkways. Soleil Haiti is independent of those organisations.

Historical and cultural reading includes UNESCO’s Compas of Haiti entry, UNESCO’s Routes of Enslaved Peoples programme and the Smithsonian Folkways Haiti collection. References support the associated statements, not an endorsement of this project.
